The workshop will provide great hands-on activities for teaching nuclear science in the chemistry and physics classroom. During the workshop, we will look at cloud chambers, measure half-life, look at radioactive material, and learn about resources available in the state. The workshop is part of the outreach by the American Nuclear Society (ANS) at the University of Utah, which has one of the few nuclear engineering programs in the nation. ANS will have free materials for teachers.
